At the Birkenhof experienced riders and horse-lovers can consolidate their abilities with some riding lessons. Whether you are a beginner rider, or an ambitious rider, our Haflingers and our Welsh pony set all riders' hearts ablaze
For children who are still too little for riding lessons we offer guided riding sessions. We go for a fantastic 'horse walking' session around Galtür for at least 15 or 30 minutes.
The key factor is to have fun and enjoy riding. This applies as much to the rider as it does to the horse! Longe lessons are a great way for younger riders to become accustomed to the animal and to the movement itself.
Stress-free riding, developing an understanding for the horse, enjoying sound and balanced basic training, as well as feeling great on horse-back; these are objectives that are very important to us!
Riding lessons take place weekly, from Monday to Friday. A riding lesson lasts either 50 minutes or 25 minutes. For children aged 6 and over, riding is available outside on the riding area. The relevant clothing is required for riding. Riding helmets are compulsory (option to use on loan free of charge). Riding as well as general interaction with all the animals on the farm is at your own risk. The organiser assumes no responsibility. Parents are liable for their children.
